About the program
The program contain a versatile vocabulary of ground-based moves such as the Crab, Crossstep, Corta Capim, and more. You will learn dynamic arching moves and handstands, such as the Air Bridge and the Helicopter Cartwheel. These elements will teach you how to manipulate your body in space and will provide you with a solid foundation for advanced Soft Acrobatics. .
You will also learn how to balance on your elbow, transition to and from the floor using elements such as the Back Roll and elbow levers (QDRs). Most importantly, through countless combinations and theoretic principles of fluid movement, you will learn how to integrate these skills into a smooth, dynamic flow. This will enhance your physical practice, improve your body control, and empower your freedom of movement. .
Each session includes extensive mobility and physical preparation sections. I believe that developing a solid physical foundation is an essential component of safe and sustainable practice. .
In this course I will present you with my movement style, however, my primary objective is to guide you in discovering your own path and to provide you with a versatile skill-set that will allow you to navigate and progress in this new and exciting practice.

Who is it for?
That being said, it also holds challenges for more experienced practitioners.
Every step of the way you will get several options of execution.
So, for example, if you are a 27 years old athletic person, you can practice along with your 60 year old parent; Both of you will practice the same elements but in different variations. Just like we do in our classes.

Read MoreI thought Motion Intro 1 was a fantastic, well rounded course that was well developed, and had good introductory movements that were clearly defined and explained (although not easy haha). It was challenging in a beatiful way, but when you pick up the flow and movement, the magic really happens. This program was excellent at providing me with new flows for my warmup, improving my backbend and lower body ROM and mobility, and was an excellent supplement on my low impact, non strength training days. I often incorporate animal movements, flow practice in between kettlebell strength circuit workout days and I find this to be a moderate activity that is perfect for "off days". I love Motion Onlines programs - I have Soft Mobility, Intro 1 and am currently working through Intro 2

Read MoreWriting this as a lifetime "dabbler" of movement disciplines: capoeira, bouldering, partner acrobatics, yoga, weightlifting, and boxing, to name a few. 37 years old at the time of review, with knees, elbows, and shoulders that often need extra love. The program overall was an excellent value for what was offered. I ran Motion Intro 1 over the course of 8 weeks, repeating each session 2x each week to focus on movement quality. I looked forward to every session, and finished feeling accomplished, excited, and eager to learn more. By the end of Motion Intro 1, I knew I had made the right choice in going all in on the Combo package of Motion 1 and 2, as well as an early pickup of Motion 3. Onto the details. What I loved about the program: I loved the options for regression/progression for each movement. I loved the session structure of warm-up, review, singles, minis, lines. I loved the general ethos of caring for your body, easing into skill development, and slowing down / backing off as necessary. This is probably the most impactful lesson I have taken (though doing cool movements is nice too!) Wishlist: I have only taken Motion Intro 1 so far, so knowing this, here is my wishlist for future versions of this course: Additional angles and zoom-ins. Front and side views were great, though I am wondering if there is value in views from above, as well as zoom-ins on particular positions (like hands/feet angles/placements on the ground, etc.). I know this may be tough for smaller operations with limited equipment, so take this suggestion as far as it is applicable to your current situation. Additional talk-throughs. I am a nerd for this kind of stuff, so additional talk-throughs of movements (anything interesting you can share, really), would deepen the experience of the course - though I know we are here to MOVE 🙂 Additional guidance on warming up / prehab / rehab. While I appreciated the warm-ups specific to a given session, I did find myself coming to training on days that I felt extra cold, stiff, slow, etc. Applying the fundamentals of the RAMP protocol was helpful for me, as well the general ethos of showing extra love to specific joints that you so elegantly modeled. However, it would be cool to get some additional education on warm-up principles for those unfamiliar with RAMP or other warm-up approaches that trainees may not be as aware of. Overall, this is my STRONG recommendation for anyone looking to add mobility, balance, flow, softness, and expanded positions of strength beyond conventional calisthenics skills.

Read MoreBeen doing Karin’s movement programs for a little over a year now and her programs are legit. I’ve tried other programs and they are either way too expensive or too time consuming. I love how Karin makes her programs affordable as well as manageable for the novice athlete. She lays out the material in an understandable way and gives adequate professions as well as modifications for us older athletes. She is also quick to reply on social media with questions and feedback. If you’re looking for something different but challenging and want to get more fluid in your movement this program is for you.

I had some experience with quadrupedal locomotion but this course helped me to get more fluid movements, learn how to flow different moves together in a seamless way. The instruction is clear and concise with useful cues throughout. I plan to work through the course again and again to continue to master my body. Thanks Karin!

What is Locomotion?
Unlike a structured discipline, Locomotion has no rules, competitions, masters, or predefined expectations. Some movers adopt a more fluid and dance-like approach, while others emphasize strength or acrobatics. Each individual is free to choose their unique style and repertoire of movements.

Taking care of your spine is one of the most valuable investments you can make for your body. The return? A lifetime of better movement, reduced pain, and improved overall well-being.
Why prioritize daily spine and thoracic mobilization?
-
Promotes longevity and vitality
-
Improves posture and breathing efficiency
-
Reduces back pain and physical discomfort
-
Unlocks more freedom and possibilities in movement
By simply moving your spine more often, you're giving your central axis the freedom it needs to support a healthier, more resilient body.
Start incorporating these movements into your day and your body will thank you.

Repetition vs. Variation
there's no way around some repetition and hard work.
However, I made it my personal goal to make it as interesting and as varied as possible.
There is repetition, as there always should be, but I narrowed it down to the bare minimum. Aiming for an optimal balance between repetition and variation that is based on teaching hundreds of students over the years.
My goal
This course is based on my experience of teaching these moves to hundreds of individuals over the past decade. Every part of it from the breakdowns, and structure to the number of reps is my best attempt to give you a fun, engaging, and productive practice.
